Varun Dhawan is all set to recreate Salman Khan’s magic on the silver screen as he is gearing up for the release of his next Judwaa 2. Salman Khan, who is happy to see Varun stepping in his shoes for the remake of Judwaa says he wants him in the remake of his 1991 release Love which also featured Revathi. The Tubelight actor felt he is the perfect choice for its remake.
While talking to a leading daily, Salman said, “It’s a film called Love that I did with Revathi. It was a beautiful film. I think Varun will be a damn good choice for that one. In today’s day, age and budget, a film like Sooryavanshi, too, will do really well. If you can tweak it a bit, it should fly. It was way ahead of its time back then.”
A remake of Telugu blockbuster film Prema starring Venkatesh, Love was a tragic love story which also had Amjad Khan in a pivotal role, along with Salman and Revathy. Judwaa 2 features Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu opposite Varun Dhawan. The film has been directed by David Dhawan.

On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Kabir Khan directorial Tubelight. As of now, he is busy shooting for the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film will see the comeback of Salman and Katrina on the silver screen after a gap of five years. The duo was last seen in 2012 hit film Ek Tha Tiger. Slated for release in Christmas this year, Tiger Zinda Hai promises some high octane action sequences, in which both the actor will be seen performing daring stunts.
Tiger Zinda Hai also features Paresh Rawal in a key role.
