Reality TV show Bigg Boss has been renewed for an eleventh season. Last season, the makers brought in a new twist by opening the gates of the house for commoners. What followed next was a tussle between celebrities and common men, with one of the latter- Manveer Gujjar, winning the competition. Now grapevine is abuzz that makers are keen to rope in Akshay Kumar as the host, hinting that maybe Salman Khan will have another actor to accompany him.
Salman Khan has been a constant in Bigg Boss for many years now. There have been rumours from time to time suggesting Salman Khan had enough of the show and he wishes to quit. It was said he would not return to host the tenth season after he lost his temper in the ninth one. But Salman kept his fans entertained by being himself. To put all speculations about Salman’s exit to rest, Colors announced right after the tenth season that the superstar will be returning as a host again.

Months later the buzz of Salman being replaced as gained mileage again. According to a leading portal, Akshay Kumar is being considered. A source told the daily, “Salman has been wanting to opt out from Bigg Boss for some years now. Every year he announces he won’t do Bigg Boss as it impinges on his other commitments and makes a heavy demand on his time. But now he is seriously not keen to go on. Akshay Kumar with his huge connect with the masses is seen as the best replacement.”

Though the source seems to be saying this with confidence, it may happen this could be just a rumour. The promos of the show that Colors has been tweeting on social media confirm Salman Khan is very much a part of the show. Even the official Twitter handle of Bigg Boss tags Salman Khan in many tweets, adding weight to this. Nevertheless, the option that Bigg Boss 11 could have two hosts cannot be negated.
Till an official confirmation comes from either of the stars, we will have to wait. As far as fans are concerned if Salman and Akshay host Bigg Boss 11 together, it would be a treat for them.
