Rajinikanth wants to watch Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil. Why not SRK's Raees?

Rajinikanth wants to watch Kaabil and has like the promos of the film. We wonder if he has not yet watched the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's Raees

The 2017 January will see two of the most-awaited films of Bollywood pitting against each other, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil. Both the biggies are slated to release on the Republic day weekend. While the Rahul Dholakia directorial is an action entertainer, Kaabil promises to be a revenge thriller with equal doses of action, suspense, and romance.

Recently, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who had watched the trailers of Kaabil expressed his desire to watch the Hrithik Roshan starrer soon. The two-minute and twenty two-second long trailer introduces the main characters of the film, a visually impaired man named Rohan Bhatnagar, played by Hrithik Roshan and his lady love, essayed by Yami Gautam.

Reportedly, Rakesh Roshan, the Kaabil producer and father of Hrithik Roshan had called up Rajinikanth to wish on his birthday. But in return, Rajinikanth paid Hrithik Roshan a great compliment and said:

I have watched the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi trailers of Kaabil and I simply loved it. I also think Hrithik Roshan is stupendous. Please tell him that I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Kaabil.

Apart from praising Hrithik Roshan and his film, the Thalaivar also praised Rakesh Roshan’s brother and music composer of Kaabil, Rajesh Roshan for the music after having watched the songs Haseeno Ka Deewaana and Kaabil Hoon.

Meanwhile, the Telugu dubbed version of Kaabil, Balam will have a simultaneous release along with its original version. The Kaho NaaPyaar Hai star has a solid fan base in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, where his last film, Mohenjo Daro managed to do well despite failing elsewhere. Hrithik Roshan’s earlier blockbusters – Koi… Mil Gaya and the Krrish series – also did remarkable business at the Telugu Box Office.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil also stars Ronit Roy, Rohit Roy, Narendra Jha and Suresh Menon apart from Hrithik and Yami.

As is, it’s good to see Thalaiva acknowledging Kaabil like this, but why has he decided to give Raees a complete ignore?
