Ever since the makers have announced Baahubali fame Prabhas next Saaho, a lot has been written and talked about the film. Be its Prabhas lean avatar or the film’s leading ladies, the movie has created a lot buzz for all the right reason. Now, the latest buzz is, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor was the first choice for Saaho. Yes, earlier it was reported that Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 c0-star Anushka Shetty has been roped in to play the female lead in the movie, however, according to the latest report, it is being said that the makers have considered the Neerja star for the film.
According to a leading daily, it is being said that the makers of Saaho gave a brief description of the film to Sonam, and she even agreed to meet them for the project, however, due to some reason the meeting never happened.
“The filmmakers gave Sonam a brief idea of the film, and she agreed to meet them. But neither did the meeting happen nor did the makers return with a bound script.” And that was that as far as the film is associated with the Kapoor girl”, a source quoted as saying.

This is not the first time any Bollywood actresses’ names are doing rounds for the female lead, earlier Katrina Kaif also made a headline for her role opposite Prabhas in the upcoming action drama. Apart from Katrina and Sonam, actresses including Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Pooja Hegde were also on the list to play the female lead.

Touted to be a high-tech action film, Saaho will see a totally different avatar of Prabhas. Reportedly, he will be seen performing some high-octane action sequences. Hollywood stuntman Kenny Bates, famous for his work in films like Die Hard and Transformers, has been brought on board. Directed by Sujeeth, the film is expected to hit the screen in 2018.
