Stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal has reacted to Sonu Nigam's comment on azaan. Here's what she said

Sonu Nigam’s comment on azaan has sparked a major controversy with the social media rising up against him. The playback singer is being trolled on Twitter after his early morning post on the social media site went viral. ” While Twitterati has gone berserk on the entire issue, stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal too joined the bandwagon.”They’ll have to add a 100 more seats in Rajya Sabha to accommodate all the bigoted sycophants among Indian celebs,” she posted on Twitter. She also said that such a comment in today’s volatile environment can not be ignored and one making it would know its implications.

“I think anyone making comments like this in the current climate that we are in KNOWS the implications of what they are saying,” she tweeted.  “Any other time this could be seen merely as a complaint about noise, but I cannot be disingenuous and not acknowledge that,” she added in one of her Twitter conversations.

Sonu Nigam in his early morning tweet had said,”God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India.:”

Adding further, he questioned the use of loudspeakers for Azaan early in the morning. His tweet read:”And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?”
