Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s third Bollywood release, Naam Shabana released this Friday. Jointly produced by Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia, the film is directed by Bhaag Johnny fame Shivam Nair. Naam Shabana is a spin-off to the 2015 Bollywood thriller Baby. The film stars Taapsee Pannu in the titular role of Shabana Khan.

Though the film opened to average reviews, Naam Shabana is doing decent business at the Box Office. After minting Rs. 18 crore on its opening weekend, Naam Shabana has managed to put up decent numbers on Monday and Tuesday as well.The partial holidays at some

The partial holidays at some centres due to Ram Navami festival has worked in favour of the film to post some good numbers. By the end of 5-theatrical days, Naam Shabana has minted Rs. 23.80 crore at the Box Office.

Interestingly, Naam Shabana emerged as the highest Bollywood grosser of Prithviraj. The film crossed the lifetime collections of the Malayalam superstar’s previous Bollywood release, Aurangzeb on Wednesday. The Raavana actor essayed the main antagonist role of Tony aka Mikhail in the film.

Naam Shabana also stars Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpayee and Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo as the lead of RAW operation, Ajay Singh Rajput.

Meanwhile, the teaser of Prithviraj’s upcoming Malayalam film Tiyaan has gone viral across the social media. The teaser has caught the attention of Bollywood director Karan Johar as well. Directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, the film marks Prithviraj’s 15th collaboration with his real life brother-actor Indrajith Sukumaran. Tiyaan is slated to be released on Eid 2017.
