2017’s first Malayalam film, Sathyan Anthikad’s Jomonte Suvisheshangal was released today. Written by Iqbal Kuttippuram and produced by Sethu Mannarkkadu, the family entertainer stars Dulquer Salmaan and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead role.
Jomonte Suvisheshangal has taken a bumper opening in almost all places across Kerala. The film was released in more than 150 screens in Kerala and as per early reports, the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer has registered excellent occupancy everywhere, especially at multiplexes across Cochin and Calicut. The early reviews pouring in are also positive, which means the collections of the film will see an upward trend in the night shows.
Sathyan Anthikad, who is known for making clean family entertainers has hit the right button this time as well. Jomonte Suvisheshangal has been praised for its class direction and the performances of its leading cast, especially Dulquer Salmaan and Mukesh, who are reportedly in terrific form after a long time. The plot of the film revolves around the father-son story. Mukesh plays the role of business tycoon Vincent and Dulquer portrays his son Jomon.
Jomonte Suvisheshangal is all set to be Dulquer Salmaan’s biggest opener at the Kerala Box Office. There are also chances of film touching the Rs 3 crore mark on day 1.
However, it will be interesting to see how the film will perform in future as Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol has hit the theatres today. The film is Mohanlal’s fourth film in four months and all his previous three films, Janatha Garage, Oppam, and Pulimurugan were all-time blockbusters at the Box Office.
