I will never become the President of India, says Amitabh Bachchan

The actor says it was a childish suggestion by actor-turned-politician Satrughan Sinha

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan addressed the media at a press conference on the occasion of his 74th birthday.

Big B thanked all on the jovial occasion and has shown no signs of slowing down in his career. The 74-year-old actor says that he only looks for to the future and wishes to take up more challenging roles.

Sr Bachchan also stated that he will in fact not be running for President after former co-star Shatrughan Sinha’s “childish” suggestion of pitching his name for the position.

He also spoke about the rising tension at the borders: “People of this country are very angry by the incidents that have been happening at our borders. It’s time to show solidarity towards our jawans & armed forces who are sacrificing their lives so that you & me can be safe.”  He refused to comment on the issue of banning Pakistani actors owing to increased acrimony with Pakistan.
