One of the most exciting takeaways from the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War was the Peter Parker aka Spider-Man’s cameo. Now, it has been confirmed that Spidey will be making a comeback with the Marvel superheroes in the future sequel film Avengers 4.
Tom Holland’s Spiderman debuted with the Avengers in last year’s Captain America: Civil War after about a gazillion Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The collaboration between Sony and Marvel allowed Spidey to make an appearance in the film. The untitled Avengers movie, which has been scheduled for a release in 2019 was initially announced as Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2.
Marvel Producer Kevin Feige confirmed the news while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter. “That’s as far as it goes for now,” Feige said.
Tom Holland will also be starring in a standalone film Spider-Man: Homecoming. The film, which stars Michael Keaton as Vulture, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon and Laura Harrier, will pick up several months after the events of Civil War. The film will be released on July 7.
Avengers 4 will be followed by the sequel for Spider-Man: Homecoming. The first trailer for the film had already teased the addition of Tony Stark aka Iron Man in the story of Peter Parker.
Earlier, his appearance in next year’s upcoming film Avengers: Infinity War was also confirmed. Infinity War has been scheduled for a release on May 4, 2018.
