Emma Stone wins Best Actress for La La Land at Oscars 2017. Here's a secret behind her great success

Emma Stone bagged the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in La La Land. Here's the secret behind her success

Emma Stone won the Academy Award for Best Actress for La La Land at the Oscars 2017 ceremony. Although the film could not win the coveted award in Best Motion Picture category, her portrayal of Mia Dolan in the flick gained accolades. But do you know the secret behind her success? Ryan Gosling, who was nominated in the Best Actor, spilled the beans on the chemistry between him and Emma. It should be mentioned that the two actors have collaborated for the third time on the big screen after Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad. “It’s so much fun working with her. We have been lucky to rehearse and improvise in our first film. Soon it became a tradition. You get a connection that you don’t get in any other way,” he added.

Emma Stone was in fray for the prestigious award along with Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Ruth Negga and Isabelle Huppert. She was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Birdman two years ago. Sadly, Gosling lost to Casey Affleck who won the award for Best Actor for Manchester By The Sea. The other contenders included Andrew Garfield, Viggo Mortensen, and Denzel Washington.

The 89th Academy Awards ceremony witnessed an awkward moment when La La Land was announced as the Best Picture. Later, the goof-up was fixed and Moonlight was declared the winner. The Ryan Gosling starrer won 6 Oscars out of 14 nominations it received.

We hope Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone continue to enthrall us with their on-screen chemistry in future.
