Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut xXx: Return Of Xander Cage has become the biggest hit of 2017. The film is reported to have earned Rs 2062.52 crore globally. With these figures, the film has defeated Kung Fu Yoga at the Box Office. The Jackie Chan starrer minted approximately Rs 1632 crore, worldwide. The numbers of Deepika’s film is overwhelming since it didn’t perform well at the Box Office in India.

xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, is the biggest hit of Deepika as well surpassing Bajirao Mastani. The magnum opus directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali made Rs 360 crore worldwide. Bajirao Mastani had earned money despite clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale. Not only has xXx: Return Of Xander Cage become the highest grosser of 2017, it has also set a new record in China. The film has defeated the lifetime collections of Chinese film Your Name. The movie had minted over Rs 2189 crore globally ($327 million).

Featuring Vin Diesel in the lead role, xXx: Return Of Xander Cage was full of high-octane action scenes. As a government operative Xander Cage, Vin Diesel delivered a smashing performance.

However, critics were a little harsh on Deepika. They were of the opinion that though the diva tried hard but only added to the sex appeal in the film, not more. However, despite her skinny built, Deepika used her cat-like reflexes as she tosses knives and grenades to gain the upper hand on her opponents in fights. The chemistry between Deepika and Vin was another highlight of the film.

With the success of xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, Deepika has proved her mettle in the West as well. Back in India, Deepika will be seen next in Padmavati. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie also features Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
