Kapil Sharma’s highly loved show might not be doing well in the TRP report card, but there is a good news for the comedian. His friend turned arch-rival Sunil Grover lacked behind him in the TRP battle. We all know that Sunil Grover got into his character of Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi for the finale of Indian Idol and that didn’t turn out to be as successful as expected.
As per the figures reported in media, the finale of Indian Idol got 4.2 million impressions while The Kapil Sharma Show registered 4.6 million impressions. In the week from25 March to 31 March, The Kapil Sharma Show had 5.3 million impressions. These numbers are however less considering the fact that the show got on an average of 6 million impressions.
The Kapil Sharma Show came second in the report card as Nach Baliye 8 came first. The celebrity dance reality show has created quite the buzz in Indian television.
Things started becoming bad for Kapil Sharma when he had a fight with Sunil Grover on a flight from Melbourne. The fight became a talking topic in media and many saw it as a signal that stardom got through Kapil Sharma’s head. After a while, Sunil Grover took to Twitter to address the entire episode and asked Kapil to stop behaving like God. Post that, there were many reports of Kapil trying hard to iron out the differences between Sunil and him.

Parallely, there were rumours that Sunil Grover might be starting a new show. It was said that Preeti Simoes, Kapil’s rumoured former girlfriend, would be joining hands with Sunil on the new show. But later, Preeti rubbished these rumours. As far as Sunil is concerned, he said that he would not work only for money and dignity held a lot of importance in his life.
