Will Deepika Padukone play PV Sindhu in her biopic?

Actor-producer Sonu Sood is all set to make a biopic on PV Sindhu, and the ace shuttler hopes that it inspires millions to follow their dreams

With biopics being the current favourite of Bollywood filmmakers, the newest edition is that of ace badminton player PV Sindhu. Actor-producer Sonu Sood is all set to make a biopic on Sindhu, and the ace shuttler hopes that it inspires millions to follow their dreams.

In fact, Sonu is hopeful that her journey and achievements will inspire the world. It is also being said that the actor might approach none other than Deepika Padukone to play Sindhu’s character on-screen. When it is about badminton, then Deepika’s name comes to our minds naturally, not because she is the daughter of badminton player Prakash Padukone but because she herself is a national level player.

An elated Sindhu took to Twitter on Monday and wrote: Looking forward to the biopic 2 b made by Sonu Sood & team.hope it inspires millions 2 follow their dreams.Thanks.

Sindhu is the first Indian woman to win a silver medal in badminton in the Olympics. In July 2012, she became the first Indian to win the girls’ singles title at the Asian Youth Under-19 Championships. Sindhu, whose parents are former volleyball players, took to badminton when she was all of eight and a half years old.

Well, Deepika is currently busy working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati and while there is no official confirmation from her side, her fans will love to see her play the role of PV Sindhu on-screen. Here’s a look at Sindhu and Sonu Sood’s twitter conversation:
