Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput recently ran into trouble with traffic cops in Mumbai for parking her car in a ‘no-parking zone’. She was fined by the cops.
Mira had gone to a suburban eating outlet in Mumbai for a lunch without her husband. As soon as she got into the car after having her meals. the traffic policemen approached and pointed out that her car was parked in a prohibited area. According to the rules, the offender is supposed to pay a fine of Rs 2,000 and Mira wasted no time in settling the issue by paying it.
“Usually in cases the stars and their wives often argue to get away without paying the fine, but Mira was very polite. The driver of the vehicle has been fined for jumping the traffic light in the past,” a police officer told TOI.
Recently, Mira had sparked a controversy when she made a statement against working mothers.”I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child. I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work, why did I have her? She is not a puppy; I want to be there for her as a mother.”
Shahid had defended his wife, saying that Mira did not have any intention of hurting anyone or targeting a section of women. The Rangoon actor said that it is their personal choice that while one of them is working, the other is taking care of daughter Misha.
