Watch: This deleted scene from Raees shows the soft side of Shah Rukh Khan's character

Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Raees struck a chord with the viewers and went on to become the first hit of 2017

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees became one of the first hits of this year. Starring Shah Rukh Khan in the role of a bootlegger and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as an honest cop, the movie provided wholesome entertainment to cine buffs. However, it seems that Raees had more shades of Shah Rukh Khan’s character than was showed in the movie.

The maker of the movie have released scenes from the movie that did not make the final cut. In one of the clips that are trending on YouTube, another side of Shah Rukh Khan comes to notice. Raees Alam, the name of SRK’s character, was shown as a ruthless bootlegger who did not think twice before locking horns with the administration.

But, this particular clip shows his love for his child. In the clip, Raees Alam can be seen playing with the son and also cribbing over the fact that the little one doesn’t cry in his mother’s arms. Right before his banter with wife (played by Pakistani actress Mahira Khan), the bootlegger can be seen ordering his friend to prepare for a feast. He strictly asked him that the food should be enough for everyone.

This clip divulges in the lesser known shades of Raees’ life and it is definitely a treat for the fans of the movie.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees gained immense popularity among cine buffs. The movie clashed with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil at the Box Office but earned more than it in the long run. It was engulfed in a controversy after Shah Rukh Khan’s idea to promote the movie by train created havoc at a railway station and a person lost his life.
