Tubelight Box Office Collection Day 2: The Salman Khan film continues the same slow pace

Tubelight Box Office Collection Day 2: Salman Khan's movie continues to perform with a slow pace

Salman Khan’s most anticipated movie of the year Tubelight continued the same slow pace after hitting the theaters. Helmed by Kabir Khan the movie has minted Rs 21.17 crore on the second day at the Box Office. Whereas, on the first day the film managed to collect only Rs 21.15 crore, which is Salman’s by far the lowest ever opening on Eid. Till now, the film has done a business of Rs 42.32 crore in India.

After the first and second day’s collection, Tubelight might pick up the pace at the at the Box Office as the Eid falls on Monday, June 26. It will interesting to see how the film performs on the day and the days following it.
Tubelight has not received good reviews from the critics either. Some of the film critics said this was the worst performance of the star in the recent past.

The numbers of Tubelight would definitely shock makers who had a lot of hopes on this movie. However, it’s too early to say if the film has lived up to the marks of expectations of the Bhai fans or not. But the numbers are disappointing as per Salman’s standards too.

Set against the backdrop of Indo-Sino war of 1962, Tubelight is the story of two brothers Lakshman (Salman) and Bharat (Sohail Khan). The movie also featured Matin Rey Tangu, a little boy from Itanagar, in an important role and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.
