The Ghazi Attack Trailer: Rana Daggubati brings to us a brave war tale that no one knew about

Rana Daggubati starrer The Ghazi Attack looks like a promising movie that would instill feelings of patriotism and respect for the armed forces among us

Jeet ek aisi cheez hai, jo khud chalke tumhare pass nai aati, use ladkar hassil karna padta hai jo ki aaj hum karne wale hain. This dialogue featuring at the end of The Ghazi Attack trailer sums up the entire clip in itself. Starring Rana Daggubatti, Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni, Taapsee Pannu and deceased Om Puri, the trailer of the movie was released a short while ago. The over two-minutes long trailer will be enough to instill feelings of patriotism in you.

The movie has its center on the lesser-known battle between India and Pakistan that happened under waters. The trailer starts with an impactful voiceover by Amitabh Bachchan in which he speaks about a war that anyone barely knew about. This war movie is inspired by real-life events of the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi submarine during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. During this time, an executive naval officer and his team stayed underwater for 18 days.

Speaking of the trailer, all the characters shine equally. It perfectly brings out the emotions of soldiers who go on an undercover operation, a mission which wouldn’t earn them any recognition in the country. I’d also like to add that this kind of dedication speaks volumes of the selfless devotion that our soldiers have for their nation.

Definitely, this was one of the stories that needed to be told. Produced by Karan Johar-led Dharna Productions and AA Films, the movie is helmed by Sankalp Reddy and is said to be partially based on his own book: Blue Fish. The movie will release on 17 February 2017.
