If you think Kabir Khan was only close to Salman Khan, read how he recalls his college days with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan

Tubelight's director Kabir Khan has revealed his two-decade-old friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, who lent him his college notes as well

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen making a cameo in Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight, which hits the theater on June 25. Helmed by Kabir Khan, it is his second film with Salman after 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But did you know: Shah Rukh and Kabir knew each other for the past two decades.

The Ek Tha Tiger director shared a photograph of him with King Khan, reminiscing old days during their college years. Shah Rukh graduated in Economics from Hansraj College before studying post-graduation in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia. On the other hand, Kabir Khan pursued his higher education from Kirori Mal College and later Jamia Millia Islamia. He has won two National Awards for Kabul Express and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

“From giving me notes to study in college to now doing a cameo with @beingsalmankhan in my #tubelight Thank u @iamsrk,” Kabir Khan posted.

Shah Rukh Khan will share screen space with Salman after Om Shanti Om. He reportedly plays magician Gogo Pasha in Tubelight, which is set in the backdrop of 1962 Sino-India war.

Kabir has also known the Badshaah’s wife Gauri Khan for a long time. Kabir and Gauri had been dancing partner in a production house. Recalling his experience, Kabir said “Gauri and I had been dancing partners in a production called Westside stories. So we go back a long way.”

Indeed Baadshah Khan and his Begum makes out a great pair, who gives major couple goals. It will be interesting to watch both of them on the silver screen. We hope if Kabir Khan can bring them on screen, it will be dream come true for us.
