Shah Rukh Khan addressed TED Talks 2017 conference in Vancover in Canada. Here's what the superstar said

Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday delivered his first ever TED speech in Vancouver, speaking his heart out on various issues right from his stardom to the changes the world has experienced with the introduction of the internet. A successful actor, businessman and philanthropist, Khan is also a brilliant speaker. At the TED 2017 conference, he left the audience in splits with his witty one-liners. Khan has spoken at various international universities in the past. “Humanity is a lot like me. It’s an ageing movie star, grappling with all the newness, wondering whether she got it right,” he added further. He is the first Indian actor to deliver a TED talk.

“We had expected an expansion of ideas and dreams; we had not bargained for the enclosure of judgment,” Khan said on the advent of the internet. It should be known that Shah Rukh Khan has also teamed up with TED to host the Hindi version of the famous talk show. Known for his wittiness, Shah Rukh Khan remarked that he was feeling he had started to look like his wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London, leaving the audience in giggles.

Founded in 1984, TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It is a media organisation dedicated to posting online talk shows under the slogan, ‘ideas worth spreading’. The annual TED conference is held in Canada’s Vancouver in which the speakers are given a maximum time of 18 minutes to express their ideas in the most innovative ways they can. Some of the past speakers include Bill Gates, Serena Williams, Pope Francis, Bill Clinton, David Cameron and others.
