The new poster of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend is out and it is nothing like the other ones that have been released. The poster shows Arjun and Shraddha hanging from a bus. Revealing the poster on social media, Chetan Bhagat said it was his favourite one. The way Arjun and Shraddha are holding to each other in the poster hints that their characters chose to stick around each other through thick and thin.
A silver screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel, Half Girlfriend, the movie will hit theatres on 19 May. Half Girlfriend is the story of a boy named Madhav Jha who fell in love with a girl Riya Somani. Since both of them belonged to different walks of lives, their relationship had a rocky start.
How their lives changed after they met each other forms the crux of the story.
In the movie, Arjun Kapoor plays the role of Madhav Jha, a boy from Bihar. In the teaser that was released a few days ago, Arjun was seen talking in Bihari accent. However, his act did not gain as much appreciation as he might have been expecting. Many felt that Arjun tried hard to get into the language, but failed to leave an impression.

The trailer is set to release tomorrow but Chetan Bhagat revealed few stills from the movie yesterday. One of the still showed Arjun and Shraddha locking lips. Check them out here:

Half Girlfriend is the latest Chetan Bhagat book to be turned into a movie. The last time this happened was in 2 States and interestingly Arjun Kapoor played the role of protagonist in that film as well. Half Girlfriend marks the first on-screen outing of Arjun and Shraddha and it is helmed by Mohit Suri. Till the movie releases, here is the poster for you that released a short while ago:
