Grapevine is abuzz that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is upset with Karan Johar and we might know why

Seems like every thing is not well between good friends Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and filmmaker Karan Johar. We all know that Bachchan family is still going through a tough phase, as Aishwarya recently lost her father Krishnaraj Rai, who was suffering from prolonged illness for quite some time now. While, many members of the film fraternity including Kajol, Twinkle Khanna with mother Dimple Kapadia, Sridevi, Vidya Balan, Shraddha Kapoor attended the prayer meet, held a few days ago, Karan Johar was nowhere to be seen.

However, the real reason behind Karan Johar missing from the prayer meet is still a mystery. But if reports are to believed then his absence might be the reason of Aishwarya Rai and Karan Johar’s differences.

Aishwarya was last seen in Karan Johar’s directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The actress, who created waves for her sizzling on-screen chemistry with actor Ranbir Kapoor, was loved by the audience for her role as Saba Taliyar Khan.

Meanwhile, rumours have it that Aishwarya, who had an extended cameo in Karan’s last directorial wanted to promote the film. But, Karan didn’t want her to promote the film, since Anushka Sharma, was away shooting with superstar Shah Rukh Khan for her next. It is also being said that KJo didn’t want her to promote the film single-handedly as Anushka was in lead.

Not only that, reportedly even after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan offered another film to Aish, however, the latter turned down the offer . Also starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo, ADHM sparked controversy for featuring Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas after the ban imposed bu MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) following 18 September Uri attack.
