We often hear about people narrating their experiences of a paranormal activity that sent shivers down their spines. There are innumerable stories of people claiming to have either witnessed a headless woman running behind their vehicles or screams in a spooky hotel. Bollywood stars are no stranger to this. Here are 7 Bollywood actors who claim to have found themselves in situations that are too ‘scary’.
Bipasha Basu: Bipasha Basu has acted in several horror films like Raaz, Raaz 3D, Aatma, Alone, Darna Zaroori Hai and others. But the 38-year-old was shaken due to an incident that occurred while shooting for Gunaah (2002). In an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Bipasha revealed that she was finding it difficult to memorise the dialogues in a room at Mukesh Mills in Colaba area of Mumbai. The unit decided to shift to another room and surprisingly Bipasha learnt the dialogues quickly. After 10 days, a girl from the unit started behaving in a mysterious way and was rushed to the hospital. Shockingly, the girl died after being hospitalised.
Varun Dhawan: Varun Dhawan featured in dance flick ABCD 2, which was shot in the US. During the shooting of the film in Las Vegas, he was assigned a suite known as Sinatra suite. It was named after yesteryear pop star, Frank Sinatra who stayed in the same suite once. The Badlapur actor claimed he heard someone singing and doors opened on its own during his stay in the room.
Ranveer Singh: Ranveer Singh says he doesn’t believe in ghosts. However, the 32-year-old actor, while shooting for Bajirao Mastani, claimed he saw the ghost of the Maratha warrior on the set. Ranveer claimed that the white dust on a black wall resembled Peshwa Bajirao, that left the crew members perplexed.
Govinda: Known for his comic timing, Govinda claimed to have experienced a paranormal activity that scared the hell out of him. The actor revealed an incident when he woke up midnight only to find an aged woman sitting on his chest. As soon as he switched on the lamp beside him, she disappeared.
Neil Nitin Mukesh: Neil Nitin Mukesh shared the screen space with Sonal Chauhan in horror flick 3G. The actor who got married this year, narrated an experience while shooting the film. According to the reports, he said that a little boy came running to the unit and complained that someone was standing beside him and even passed through his body. Soon, he started shivering and the crew had to listen to the boy.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui: Nawazuddin Siddiqui won accolades for his role in horror flick Aatma. It was the film’s director Suparn Verma who claimed that the photo frame on the wall behind Nawazuddin started trembling and came crashing down all of a sudden.
Emraan Hashmi: Emraan Hashmi has acted in horror films like Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Raaz 3D and Raaz Reboot. The actor actually went on a ghost hunting campaign in a haunted house in Mumbai. He started his campaign at 12.13 am along with real ghost hunters and had a tracking device that tracks ‘spirits’. To their shock, the signal on the device turned weak signalling the presence of a supernatural figure.
