Vishal Bharadwaj’s Rangoon hits the theaters today. Loosely based on the plot of Casablanca – the movie stars Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles. The movie has already created a lot of buzz among the fans due to its energetic trailer and melodious songs.

This is the very first time that Shahid, Kangana and Saif are sharing the screen space. The chemistry between the leads have been palpable and we got its glimpse at the latest season of Koffee with Karan show. Rangoon is one of the most anticipated films of the year, thanks to the successful track record of Vishal Bhardwaj, who has given back to back hits.

His last venture Haider which was an adaption of Hamlet revived Shahid’s career in a big way and fans want to know what happens in Rangoon. The sizzling chemistry between Sasha and Kangana in the film has been a talking point. Besides, this is got to be the second time that Saif is essaying a dark character called Rusi Billimoria in the film.

The film has already had its share of controversies. A lawsuit was filed over Kangana’s role. They were reports doing the round that the character is based on Fearless Nadia. Recently, there were reports that the censor board has asked the filmmakers to cut nearly 40 minutes from the film to minimise the duration.
