Raees: Shah Rukh Khan & Ritesh Sidhwani are sure that Mahira will get Indian visa. Really?

Shah Rukh Khan and Ritesh Sidhwani say that the Indian government will not have any problem issuing visa to Mahira Khan. How can they be so sure?

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees has been welcomed with an open heart, both by the audience and the critics. The film which is slated to hit the screens on 25 January had a grand trailer launch in Mumbai. Both SRK and producer Ritesh Sidhwani answered all the relevant questions about the film at the event, including the suspense around Pakistani actress Mahira Khan’s promotional visits to India.

Talking about it, Sidhwani denied that there would be any problem in calling Mahira in the country for the promotions. In fact, he said that the team will take the required decision on her inclusion in the promotional visits and work accordingly. He said:

I think we’ll start promotions and if we find it necessary to involve her and bring her here, we will do it. I don’t think there will be any restriction for her from government and it won’t be a problem to issue her a visa. We will decide about her involvement.

The team also talked about the big clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil on 25 January at the Box Office. SRK mentioned that there’s no competition from their side and they have strategised everything perfectly. He said:

We had discussed this a long time ago with our exhibitors and distributors. We will be opening in the regular shows and Kaabil will open in the evening shows. This is a logical decision because the 26th is a holiday. We had decided that we would reveal the release date only at the launch of the trailer.
