Kaabil Box Office collection day 16: Hrithik Roshan film all set to enter Rs 150 crore club

Kaabil is already a success as the film was made on a budget of Rs 50 crore and has collected over Rs 45 crore from the satellite and digital rights itself

Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil is slowly and steadily inching towards Rs 150 crore mark and is making its position stronger at the box office. The movie was in competition with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and was doing pretty well despite getting a lesser screen share.

Recently, the movie also got released in Pakistan after the ban on Bollywood films was lifted and did a decent business of approx Rs 2.50 crore within 5 days of its release. Kaabil is not only doing well domestically but the film is also creating a buzz in the international market.

In fact, Kaabil is already in profit as the film was made on a budget of Rs 50 crores and has collected over Rs 45 crores from the satellite and digital rights itself.

The film did a business of Rs 2.79 crore on Wednesday and Rs 2.31 crore on Thursday, minting a total of Rs 129.16 crore so far domestically. Kaabil received mixed reviews from the audience as well as film critics, regardless of which the film’s box office growth is commendable.

Daddy Rakesh Roshan, who was earlier miffed with the clash and said that both the films will eat into each other’s business, is now happy with the overall collections of Kaabil and thanked all his fans for making the film successful.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan, Kaabil is a very inspiring story that celebrates the unexplored potential of an individual. This is for the first time that Hrithik has played the character of a blind man on-screen and the actor has been applauded for his mind-blowing performance by one and all.
