Swara Bhaskar has over the years carved a niche for herself in the film industry, by proving her mettle. Her upcoming film Anarkali Of Aarah is another proof that she doesn’t shy away from doing unconventional roles. Given the kind of projects she has taken up, it is hard to believe that Swara turned down a film, that too with Shah Rukh Khan. Apparently, Swara turned down to a film in which she was supposed to play mother to King Khan.

A report in a leading daily suggested that Swara always wanted to share screen space with SRK. When she learned Anand L. Rai will be making a film with the superstar, Swara approached the filmmaker. The actress worked with Aanand L. Rai in films Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns and enjoys a good rapport with the filmmaker.

In fact, Swara told Anand she wouldn’t do the role of SRK’s sister or daughter. But sadly, the only role left was that of SRK’s mother and Swara didn’t accept it, suggested the report.

Well, one can’t blame Swara. There are many actresses who dream of romancing SRK on the silver screen.

The film is slated for a release on 24 June and is directed by Avinash Das. The film made it to headlines a few days ago when few scenes of it were leaked online. The scenes were deleted by the censor board because of being bold in nature. The director had expressed concern after the incident and said piracy is a huge problem in the industry.
