SS Rajamouli’s fictional epic Baahubali: The Conclusion has shattered several records upon its theatrical release on April 28. Although the film has received mixed responses from the critics, it has received an overwhelming response from the viewers who had been waiting for two long years. While the director has received a lot of praises from all corners, a compliment from a stalwart left Rajamouli awestruck.

Produced by Arka Entertainment, the film features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan. It chronicles the power tussle within the royal family for the throne to fictional kingdom Mahishmati.

While the director has received a lot of praises from all corners, a compliment from a stalwart left Rajamouli awestruck.

Guess what! It was none other than Rajinikanth who praised the filmmaker. “Baahubali 2 … indian cinema’s pride. My salutes to God’s own child @ssrajamouli and his team!!!  #masterpiece,” the Tamil megastar tweeted. Within hours, his post was retweeted 11,000 times and earned 32,000 shares.

Rajamouli was floored and immediately expressed gratitude to the actor. THALAIVAAAA… Feeling like god himself blessed us… our team is on cloud9… Anything couldn’t be bigger…”

Upon its release on April 28, Baahubali 2 garnered Rs 121 crore on an opening day. It became the highest grossing Indian film on the first day of its release. The film has received a brilliant response from the bigwigs of South Indian film industry.

Rajamouli had thanked the fans for the support they extended for Baahubali 2. “It’s only natural that a big project like ‘Baahubali’ faces hurdles during release. I must say that the enormous love and support that was given by ‘Baahubali’ fans made us cruise through the obstacles,” Rajamouli tweeted on Sunday.
