The director of the magnum opus Baahubali had earlier revealed his dream in terms of filmmaking: to make Mahabharata for the silver screen on a scale that has never been made before. And it looks like he is all set to turn his dreams into reality. Reports have it that Rajamouli has started working on the Mahabharata trilogy.
But, it is the prospective star cast of the film which has peaked attention of cine buffs. Grapevine is abuzz that Rajamouli is thinking to bring Malayalam star Mohanlal, megastar Rajinikanth and superstar Aamir Khan for the film.
However, there is no clarity till now about the characters these stars will essay on screen.

What adds more spine to these rumours is the fact that Aamir recently said he was a fan of Rajamouli and wanted to work with him. Mr Prefectionist had said:
I’m a huge fan of Rajamouli’s work and if he ever plans to make Mahabharata, I’d love to play Krishna or Karna. I might actually go with Krishna!
The Mahabharata trilogy is expected to go on floors in 2018. Undoubtedly, the budget of the film will be huge. It won’t be wrong to expect that if the film is made, it will mint a lot of money at the Box Office—given the very popular star cast.
