Dangal Box Office collection: Aamir Khan film breaks another record, first to cross Rs 350 crore-mark

Aamir Khan's Dangal has added another feather to its record-breaking cap, by becoming the first film to cross the Rs 350 crore mark

It seems like Aamir Khan’s Dangal is on a spree of breaking all Box Office records. Recently, the film emerged as the highest grossing Hindi movie ever, leaving behind films like PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. Now, Dangal has added another feather to its record-breaking cap, by becoming the first film to cross the Rs 350 crore-mark.

It won’t be wrong to say that Mr Perfectionist is in competition with himself. His films Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK and Dangal are the first to cross Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore, Rs 300 crore and Rs 350 crore mark respectively. Dangal minted an amount of Rs 6.66 crore on Friday (week 3) and Rs 10.80 crore on Saturday (week 3) making a total of Rs 330.96 crore. Undoubtedly, the movie is reaching new heights with every passing day.

On Monday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and said that Dangal has crossed the lifetime business of PK (Rs 340.8 crore) on Day 17 of its release and is not only the highest grosser Hindi film in India but also in USA – Canada and Australia.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal marks Aamir’s return to the silver screen after a gap of two years. The film is a biopic of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trains his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. Besides Khan, the film features Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
