The business of movie making has changed in the recent past. As important is it to make a movie which connects with the viewers, it is equally important to create the right kind of buzz around it. Off late, the culture of going out of the way to promote a movie is gaining momentum. Now the makers have Enthiran 2.o, have taken promotions a notch higher. The promotions of the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer started recently.
Apparently, the makers have set aside Rs 40 crore for the promotions only. The entire budget of the movie is reported to be around Rs 450 crore. Now, a hot air balloon featuring life-sized images of both the stars will travel around the world. It is being reported that the balloon will be flying over the iconic Hollywood sign in Los Angeles.
“We plan to take the 100-foot-tall hot-air balloon to as many balloon festivals as possible across the world. Since we see our film as a Hollywood production, we also plan to tie up the balloon over the Hollywood signage in Los Angeles,” the creative head of Lyca Productions told an agency.
2.o has hence become the first movie to try this. The hot air balloon’s trip around the world will definitely add to the buzz. The movie has been shot in India entirely after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Make In India campaign.

Reports have it that Akshay Kumar will be playing an alien in the movie. The Shankar directorial will mark Akshay’s debut in Tamil cinema.
