Bahubali 2's popularity continues to soar as people from neighbouring countries are travelling to India to watch the film

Baahubali: The Conclusion has turned out to be a massive hit, having earned more than Rs 600 crore worldwide. The SS Rajamouli directorial has become a talking point among movie buffs, as they are trying to grab the tickets to watch the movie and find the answer to the question: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?

Amid the endless buzz, there is something which Prabhas and the entire team of the film will be happy about. Some 40-odd Baahubali fans travelled to Kolkata from Dhaka by a chartered plane to watch the movie. The group managed to catch an evening show at a multiplex in south Kolkata.

“Baahubali 1 was an instant hit in Bangladesh. We were wondering why Kattappa killed Baahubali in the first instalment. We had to find the answer to the question by watching the second part,” a movie fan named Athoi Khan told ScoopWhoop.

Adding further, Khan, 18, said it was Baahubali which created awareness about South Indian films among her fellow countrymen. “Most of the people in our country love Bollywood flicks. But this film opened the doors for us to South Indian films,” she said. She also said that Prabhas has a Facebook page dedicated to him in her country.

Besides Prabhas, Baahubali features Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Produced by Arka Entertainment, the Hindi version of the fictional epic has been distributed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
