It was the star-studded night at the special screening of Swara Bhaskar starrer Anaarkali of Aarah. Besides the leading lady, others in attendance included Pankaj Tripathi, Vicky Kaushal, Deepak Dobriyal and others. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who earlier worked with Swara in Nil Battey Sannata also made it a point to attend the screening. Shama Sikander, who starred in Vikram Bhatt’s erotic web-series Maaya was also spotted.
Anaarkali of Aarah narrates the story of an erotic singer from Arrah in Bihar, who sings double meaning songs. Things take an ugly turn when Anaarkali locks horns with a powerful local politician. Instead of bowing to his diktats, she chooses to fight back.

Be it her role as Chanda Sahay in Nil Battey Sannata or playing superstar Salman Khan’s sister in hugely popular Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Swara has never left a chance to impress her fans. And like her other films, she proved that she can easily pull off any kind of roles. Also, featuring Sanjay Mishra and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles, the Avinash Das directorial Anaarkali is getting an overwhelming response from celebrities, who minced no words in praising Swara’s performance.

Swara Bhaskar will be next seen in Veere Di Wedding, which also features her close friend Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. She and Sonam shared screen space in Aanand L Rai’s Raanjhana. The film marks the comeback of Kareena post-motherhood. Directed by Shashank Ghosh, it also stars Shikha Talsania who acted in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Wake Up Sid.

Nil Battey Sanata director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari was also present at the event.
An alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Swara made her Bollywood debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish in 2010.
