Aamir Khan doesn't believe in Indian awards, he only believes in foreign awards, says Priyadarshan

Priyadarshan had stated that Aamir Khan doesn't believe in Indian awards, but also said that he has great respect for the actor

Seems like Malayalam-Hindi director Priyadarshan is the current newsmaker across the media. The veteran director was in news ever since the winners of the 64th National Film Awards were announced on last Friday. The Kilukkam director was the Jury Chairman on the National Film Awards as well.

In a recent interview, Priyadarshan had stated that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan doesn’t believe in Indian awards as he was always interested in foreign awards. He also added that he has great respect for Aamir Khan for what he has proved in life.

Priyadarshan was quoted as saying:

”I’m not sure about the date, but I think on February 14, 2017, Aamir Khan made a press statement that even if he get awards, but he doesn’t accept it. And I have noticed that he has not gone for accepting the national award for his film Tare Zameen Par. Even for Filmfare award, he has not attended the event to receive the award. And he always says he don’t believe in awards. But at the same time, there is a small irony that he has gone for the nomination of his film Lagaan for Oscars. He doesn’t believe in Indian awards, he only believes in foreign awards. That’s my opinion. Nothing personal about it. I really appreciate and adore him as an actor and I respect him for his caliber and whatever he has proved in his life.”

Priyadarshan’s statement is going to raise the eyebrows of the Aamir Khan fans for sure. An invited troll Mr.Priyadarsan!
