613 days later Prabhas' Baahubali journey ends; fans will have to wait for teaser longer

Prabhas who plas the titular role in magnum opus Baahubali has wrapped up shoot after 613 days and director SS Rajamouli thanked him

The journey of Baahubali, the movie that set new standards in Indian cinema, has ended for actor Prabhas. After shooting for 613 days, the on-screen Baahubali laid his sword on Friday. Director SS Rajamouli confirmed it was a wrap for Prabhas with a tweet. He called Prabhas his darling in the tweet and thanked him for believing in the project. Soon after Rajamouli made the announcement, fans flooded his Twitter timeline to bid an emotional goodbye to the actor.

Rajamouli’s tweet bidding him goodbye hints that Prabhas’ character in the movie has ended. This has raised doubts if the 37-year-old actor would be a part of the third installment of the franchisee. The director in the past had pointed that Baahubali 3 might be on the cards but now it is unsure if Prabhas would feature in it.

Prabhas plays the titular role in the magnum opus. His popularity reached new heights after he became a part of the project. The movie set in a fictional city of Mahishmati has elements like love, hate, revenge, and deceit blended perfectly. The first part that released in 2015 went on to become a massive hit and expectations have been high with the sequel for a long time now.

It was a result of these expectations that any development related to Baahubali made it to the news. A few days ago, there were many reports that the teaser of Baahubai 2 will be released with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. However, a close source in the know told a leading daily that this isn’t the case. He said the makers haven’t thought of a date as of yet but it is confirmed they wouldn’t unveil the teaser with Raees.

The makers have till now only revealed the first posters of Prabhas and Rana Daggubatti (who plays Bhallaldeva in the series). Apart from them, the movie also stars Tamannaah Bhatia , Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj and Nassar. Baahubali 2 will release on 28 April 2017.
