Prabhas had to follow a different diet for both roles of Shivudu and Amarendra Baahubali in Baahubali 2. For Shivudu, it was a low calories diet consisting of six meals a day with zero carbs, high proteins like egg whites and chicken and good fats (nuts). He had to have lesser fat as he needed to have a chiselled body. The lesser fat percentage the more toned and chiselled one’s body looks. For his workout, he had to do heavy cardio twice a day morning and evening which included weight training. But for Amarendra Baahubali ‘s role, he had to follow a heavy calories diet which included eight to nine meals a day and a workout which included heavy weight training and less cardio, just once a day .

He further added:

For the last four years, I feel like I have been living with Prabhas. After a hectic shoot day too, even though it would be 11 pm, Prabhas wouldn’t miss his workout. He’s one of the most dedicated and committed people I have worked with. He completely gave himself to his role as Baahubali. Prabhas has done risky things for his role and even though the team would take all precautions, he has had some injuries. But that did not stop him. He would undergo physiotherapy sessions and continue his workouts.

Apart from Prabhas, Baahubali 2 also stars Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj. The SS Rajamouli magnum-opus will hit the screens on April 28 of this year.
