She set the silver screen on fire by donning a bikini in her debut flick Student of the Year, but Alia Bhatt feels wearing revealing outfit does not necessarily make one sexy.

She feels she looks sexy even while wearing pyjamas. The Kapoor & Sons actor was recently addressing reporters during the launch of a special issue of a magazine. When asked by a reporter whether she would opt for a saree or a bikini, Alia said it was not necessary that skin show would turn out to be sexy. She told the reporters:

Bikini can be sexy because you are showing skin but I don’t think that is necessarily sexy. Saree, I haven’t explored much. I will opt for pyjamas because that is a lot more effortless and easy to wear.

Adding further, Alia said she dresses up not according to trends but due to comfort. She also made a point that following trends blindly did not make one a fashion icon.

I don’t think fashion trends change every day. We are aware of various trends because of social media. Even I don’t know of the many trends that are out there. Being a girl and actress, I love to doll up. I love to dress up. I relate myself to the trends the way they fit me. I don’t go for something just because they are happening trends at that time. I only make that my own if that suits my personality. You should have a direction about the trends you follow.

Nevertheless, Alia looked stunning in a black dress at the event.

Alia will share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Dear Zindagi, which will hit the theatres on November 25. The film, directed by Gauri Shinde also features Ira Dubey, Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth Shukla and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles.
