Eid 2017 will see an interesting battle as the films of two superstars is set to clash at the Box Office. It’s widely known that Bollywood actor Salman Khan starrer Tubelight is arriving on Eid 2017. The film marks the third collaboration of Salman Khan – Kabir Khan as the actor-director duo’s previous two films, Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan were released on the same auspicious occasion on 2012 and 2015 respectively. Both films turned out to be blockbusters at the Box Office.
Similar to Tubelight, Mahesh Babu, AR Murugadoss film, SPYder was also scheduled to release on Eid. However, on Saturday, the makers decided to postpone the film to a different date citing reason best known to them.
The shift in the release date of the Mahesh Babu starrer has worked in favor of another Telugu superstar’s film. Allu Arjun starrer Duvvada Jagannadham to occupy the Eid holiday weekend as the release date. Written and directed by Hari Shankar of Gabbar Singh and Subramanyam For Sale fame and produced by Dil Raju, Duvvada Jagannadham is Allu Arjun’s first release of 2017. The film also marks the third outing of Allu Arjun and producer Dil Raju. The actor-producer duo had previously collaborated for Arya and Parugu and both films turned out to be blockbusters at the box office. Duvvada Jagannadham stars Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro fame Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
Both Tubelight and Duvvada Jagannadham are slated to hit the screens on 23 June 2017.
