'Would you like to be Punjab's new CM?' AAP's Sanjay Singh asks Bhagwant Mann in leaked video

AAP got only 20 seats in Punjab and it failed to even open its account in Goa

A video purportedly showing Aam Aadmi Party celebrating Punjab poll results even before its declaration is doing rounds on social media. The video shows AAP Punjab convener Sanjay Singh asking MP Bhagwant Mann whether he would like to become state’s new chief minister. The 8-minute video shows AAP leader celebrating and claiming they have won 100 assembly seats.

However, the poll results that saw AAP fetching only 20 seats and becoming a distant second in the poll race in Punjab, may have made this video little ironical for the party. It was earlier reported that the video was shot on March 11 but Sanjay Singh later clarified that the video is of Feb 4 and was shot in lighter vein.

Ye Video 4 Feb ka Hai, Chunav sampann hone ke baad aapas me hansi Mazaak kar rahe the, ye koi talibani party nahin hai. yahaan hansi mazaak ki azaadi hai (This video was shot on February 4. We were joking around after the completion of Punjab polls. Ours is not a Talibani party, we have freedom to make jokes,” he said in a tweet.

The Aam Aadmi Party faced major defeat in both Punjab and Goa and unlike party’s tall claim of majority, it got only 20 seats in Punjab while in Goa, it failed to even open its account.
