Ground Report: With or without Mulayam, UP youth backs Akhilesh Yadav for upcoming polls

Young students believe that UP CM Akhliesh Yadav has tried to provide benefits to them and has worked hard for state's overall development,

In the fight over the Samajwadi Party symbol- cycle, Akhilesh Yadav has surpassed his father Mulayam Singh Yadav to emerge as the winner. And it seems the youngsters of the state too, are backing the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. Akhilesh, who has always given priority to the development rather than getting involved in corrupt activities, has emerged as a champion leader in the state.

Young students in the state believe that Akhliesh has tried to provide benefits to them, however, his schemes weren’t implemented and executed properly as his leaders don’t support him.

“Akhilesh has done a lot of good work; he has rolled out some very good schemes. Laptops were distributed after SP came to power, but one problem with the scheme was that many students didn’t get them. Implementation and execution could have been done properly if the party leaders would have followed Akhilesh’s ideology rather than that of Shivpal and Mulayam,” said Rahul Bajpai, an engineering student.

“Though the family feud is still on, I believe that Akhilesh will get a second chance. He cannot do anything alone, he had his own set of limitations due to his father and uncle Shivpal, but now he has sidelined them for the betterment of the state, so I think that the voters will support him rather than any other party,” said Mohit Saxena, a BBA student.

“SP government should come to power once again, Akhilesh has done a lot of state. The problem for Akhilesh is that he needs support from his own people. Family feud has helped him emerge as a powerful leader, he can win the elections this time with or without Mulayam,” said Imtiaz Ansari, a student of MBA.

Though it is too early to predict an SP win, it seems that the young voters are with Akhilesh. Their anger is with Mulayam and Shivpal who that are holding responsible for the poor law and order situation and bad execution of plans conceived by the young UP CM.
