PM Modi hits back at Akhilesh Yadav on 'Gadha' remark, says "I take inspiration even from a donkey"

Targeting Akhilesh Yadav, PM said the place you are talking about is Mahatama Gandhi and Sardar Patel's birth place.

Taking a jibe at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘Gadha’ remark, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a rally in Bahraich said, “I can understand if you attack BJP or Modi, but you are targeting a donkey, now you are fearing from a donkey ?”

He said, I am surprised at their caste-based mentality they are biased even towards an animal, they are considering donkey an inferior. Donkey also gives us an inspiration as he is always loyal to his master. Targeting CM he said the place of which you are talking about is Mahatama Gandhi and Sardar Patel’s birth place and work place of Lord Krishna.

Reacting on the law and order situation in the state, Modi said that MLAs of your party are accused in heinous crimes and Akhilesh Yadav is asking for votes on their names. Uttar Pradesh does not deserve such a govt.

Few days back, UP CM had appealed Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan to stop promoting donkeys of Gujarat. “I would request Amitabh ji to stop advertising for donkeys of Gujarat,” he said that at an election rally in Rae Bareli ahead of the fourth phase of assembly polls.

“In Gujarat even donkeys are being promoted and then we are being accused of over spending on advertisment,” he added. It is to be noted, the latest advertisement on Gujarat tourism features Mr Bachchan along with many donkeys.

Hitting out at Modi, Akhilesh said “Prime Minister says, 24 hour power should be provided not only in Ramzan but also in Holi but I would ask him you have high regard for Ganga Maiyya, so swear by her and tell me whether So government provides 24 hour power in Varanasi.”
