PM Modi should do 'kaam ki baat' instead of his 'mann ki baat': Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadis have worked for development without any discrimination and I am ready for a debate on it, said Akhilesh

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann ki baat radio show, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on February 26 said, everybody has heard his ‘mann ki baat’ but now people of UP are waiting for ‘kaam ki baat’.

While addressing a press conference in Lucknow, Akhilesh said, “Samajwadis have worked for development without any discrimination and I am ready for a debate on it. I made sure that the land for setting up of AIIMS was allocated in Gorakhpur but I want to ask  when will that AIIMS be ready”.

Whenever I go in a rally I tell people the work done by Samajwadi Party and I want that PM should also inform people about the work done by central government, he added.

Attacking Prime Minister over Ramzan-Diwali comment, Akhilesh said that it is his party who ensured that people of Varanasi get 24-hour electricity supply. Predicting his party’s win in the elections , Akhilesh said the Samajwadi Party- Congress alliance will win over 300 seats as the SP ushered an era of prosperity.

On February 26, in his latest address to the nation through radio, Prime Minister has shared his thoughts on a number of issues while urging countrymen to support ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ movement. He also spoke on ISRO’s historic launch of 104 satellites, performances of Divyangs at Rio Olympics and Digital India campaign during his address.

Due to the uproar over comments being made by the political parties ahead of assembly elections, the government had to take the permission of the Election Commission to air the episode. The Election Commission has ordered the political parties to not mix religion and elections.
