First pride flag conquers space with a message of peace

First pride flag launched using high altitude balloon reached an altitude of 21.1-mile above the earth's surface.

Planting Peace, a non-profit organisation, went on a mission to claim the space for peace and recognition for the LGBTQ community. The community faces serious discrimination and hatred across the globe but they have a message from the space.

On August 21, Planting Peace foundation launched a pride flag into space. The launch was not a space shuttle but a balloon which carried the pride flag into the stratosphere. Using a high-altitude balloon the non-profit organisation set the pride flag on a 21.1-mile journey to claim the space.

The amazing video released by the Planting Peace shows amazing views of the outer atmosphere when it reached the highest altitude of 21.1-mile above earth’s surface. The pride flag’s journey is to  claim the universe as LGBTQ-friendly.

“It was an honor to send the first Pride flag into space, and it provided a wonderful opportunity to show that Planting Peace will not stop fighting for LGBTQ rights until all sexual and gender minorities experience full, fundamental rights in every corner of the universe,” The Huffington Post quoted Aaron Jackson, President of Planting Peace.

The LGBTQ friendly organisation has a clear vision of equality and peace. The pride flag’s journey shows a way forward, a way to peace.

The NBC news quoted Jackson saying, “The backdrop of space gave us a stunning, inspiring and peaceful canvas for our message of hope to our LGBTQ family. I would love for LGBTQ children who are struggling to see this, and look up to the stars and remember that the universe shines brightly for them, and they are not alone,”

Before free-falling, the Go Pro camera captured, the amazing horizon that was in the view of the pride flag. A stunning view to watch.
