King of Bollywood, King Khan, King of wit and humor or Badshah Khan, all these adjectives boils down to one man – Shah Rukh Khan. With a career spanning more than two decades, Shah Rukh is known to have reached the epitome of stardom with more than million fans in India and internationally. So much so that, millions of fans gather around his house to wish him on his birthday on 2nd November.
The 51-year-old Shah Rukh hails from a Muslim family in New Delhi (originally from Peshawar) and has had no connection in Bollywood. He is known to be an all-rounder in school and did various stage plays and imitations of veteran actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, among others. He did his graduation from Hansraj College and pursued his masters from Jamia Milia Islamia College. His passion for acting grew during his college days where he did theatre and learnt acting under mentor Barry John.
He has a lean body with 40” chest, 28” waist and 14.5” biceps and is able to transform himself according to the roles. He is blessed with a decent height of 5’8” and weighs 67 Kg. With his fierce eyes and cool personality, he is a true Scorpion. He loves video games and plays football in his free time. He is a big foodie and loves Delhi’s spicy street food and tandoori chicken. He is a big fan of Dilip Kumar and Mumtaz whom he grew up watching. Shah Rukh is very fond of cars and owns many cars but his favorites are – Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe, Land Cruiser.
Shah Rukh was part of famous television series like Fauji, Circus, Idiot, and so on. His entry to Bollywood came with hit film Deewana. Few of the other films he did during his early phase are Hema Malini directed Dil Ashna Hai, Chamatkar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and so on. Shah Rukh’s has given series of superhits like Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam, Karan Arjun, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam, Devdas, Kal Ho Na Ho, Veer-Zara, Swades, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, My Name is Khan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Dear Zindagi, among others.
With huge stardom come many controversies. Shah Rukh Khan’s fight with actor Salman Khan in Katrina Kaif’s birthday party created a storm in the media and became the matter of much speculation and scrutiny. In the IPL season of 2012, he was heavily criticized for smoking publicly inside the stadium. Despite these, Shah Rukh was never in news for link-ups with any actresses and is happily married to wife Gauri Khan. The couple is blessed with three children – Aryan, Suhana and Abraham.
